    Instructions:

    1. Close any anti-virus programs currently running. Right-click the anti-virus icon in your system tray and choose “Exit,” “Close,” or “Quit” to shut it off.

    2. Go to “Start,” “Control Panel” then “Add/Remove Programs.”

    3. Find your current anti-virus software in the “Add/Remove Programs” list. Select the program and choose uninstall. Click “Next” throughout the wizard until it completes the uninstall process.

    4. Restart your computer.

    5. Put your new anti-virus installation CD into your computer or double-click the program’s installer file you downloaded. The new anti-virus installation process varies by developer but you usually click “Next” throughout a series of prompts in the installation wizard to install the new software. Restart your computer at the end of the installation.
