    Instructions:

    1. Click the “Norton Removal Tool” link in the Resources section. Download the “Norton_Removal_Tool.exe” file to your hard drive.

    2. Right click on the Norton Antivirus program icon in the task bar at the bottom right corner of the screen, then choose “Close” or “Exit.”

    3. Right click the “Norton_Removal_Tool.exe” file and choose “Run as Administrator” to launch the Norton Removal Tool. Click the “Next” button.

    4. Read the license agreement and choose “I accept the License Agreement.” Click “Next.”

    5. Type in the security-check text displayed in the image file and click “Next.” Click “Next” to remove the Norton Antivirus program and remove Norton registry entries.

    6. Click the “Finish” button when the program has completed the removal process.

    7. Click the “Start” menu button and choose “Computer.” Double click the hard drive icon, then double click “Program Files.”

    8. Double click the “Norton” folder. Right click on “Norton Antivirus”, if available, and choose “Delete.” Click “Yes” to confirm.

    9. Click on “Program Files” in the folder path bar to go back to the “Program Files” folder. Double click the “Common Files” folder. Right click on the “Symantec” folder, if listed, and choose “Delete.” Click “Yes” to confirm.

    10. Right click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop and choose “Empty Recycle Bin.” Click “Yes” to confirm. Restart your computer to complete the Norton Antivirus removal.
